Hello everyone,
I hope you’ve all had an enjoyable month and are managing to stay healthy and well.
May has been busy for a lot of people. From internal to external events, I’d like to thank everyone for their efforts.
As part of our Annual Planning process we held a ‘Voice of the People Day’ with the Executive and a number of leaders from across the business including the field. We reviewed and discussed all of the feedback and comments we had received from both the Engagement Survey and the Above the Waterline Sessions that have recently taken place.
At the conclusion of the ‘Voice of the People Day’, we had identified five people priorities to take forward for the next financial year and beyond. These included: Leadership Development, Upskilling and Training our Teams, Wellbeing – Working Away from Home, Consistent and Effective Processes, and Career Development. All of the insights and data from this session have now been included in the Corporate Planning for FY23 and beyond, with a focus on making significant progress in the coming year.
Externally, it was great to see Interflow very well represented in Brisbane at the annual Ozwater Conference. Special highlights of the event included having Heiko Manzke from Primus Line at our stand, and Will Zillmann giving a talk on the trenchless renewal of Unitywater’s DN100 watermain in Narangba, Queensland. Thank you to everyone who attended the conference, with special thanks to Kerstin Preston for organising everything behind the scenes.
Finally, I’m excited to be heading to Germany to attend the 2022 IFAT conference in Munich. IFAT is the world’s leading trade fair for water, sewage, waste, and raw materials management and I’m grateful this year to be in attendance. While in Germany, I’ll also make a trip to the Primus Line headquarters to catch up with our business partners.
With that, I’ll leave you to enjoy the stories in this month’s Freeflow! This month we dive into projects from across the company, discuss how we are moving forward on engagement survey findings, and celebrate our crews that have travelled all over Australia and New Zealand.
See you next time!
