Hello everyone, and welcome to the March edition of Freeflow.
First up, I want to acknowledge the impact the flooding on the east coast of Australia has had on our people and our work. In this month’s Freeflow, we share two examples of this, but I know there are many more across the business.
The ability of our people to adapt to the most extreme circumstances, and their willingness to pitch in and help their teammates and communities continues to humble me. Echoing the words of Troy Dawson, I feel PROUD to say that this is INTERFLOW.
Despite the obvious effect of an event like this on our business, our operations are in full swing once again and I expect to see a full recovery in the coming months. I also hope that everyone personally affected has overcome the challenges and that any damage suffered has not been too severe.
Earlier in March, we came together to celebrate International Women’s Day. The day inspired conversations across the business about what we can do to move the needle and increase gender diversity in our industry. To support this, we’re reviewing our Diversity and Inclusion strategy to ensure that we take tangible and measurable actions that create positive change within our business.
The Above the Waterline sessions are continuing across Australia and New Zealand. Each person in the business will have the opportunity to take part in one of these powerful and engaging sessions. We share feedback from Field Operations Manager, Aaron Macklin, in our Above the Waterline story.
Finally, it has been a pleasure to see so many of you during my recent travels. Connecting with you on site will continue to be my focus over the coming months. I look forward to catching up in person and experiencing first-hand the incredible work we do.
Until next time, I hope you enjoy the stories we’ve shared this month!
