As the number of people with colds, influenza (flu) and COVID-19 increase, Interflow remains focused on
looking after the health and wellbeing of our people, our customers, and the communities we serve.
We have done an exceptional job at managing this so far with some simple controls which can help us in the current climate, and we encourage you to continue to use them.
Vaccinations and boosters
Vaccinations and boosters are your best protection. We’re encouraging everyone, where possible, to keep
your COVID-19 and flu vaccination status up to date. This is the most effective way to protect yourself,
your colleagues, and your loved ones from these infections. Your healthcare provider will be able to discuss
the options available to you.
Mask Wearing & Social Distancing
Whilst masks are no longer mandated, it make sense to protect yourself and others by wearing a mask –
especially indoors, in crowded areas, or when unable to maintain Social Distancing – all these controls are
an effective way to limit the spread of infection. Social Distancing always helps.
Know the Symptoms, Stay Home if you have them
On average it takes 5–6 days from when someone is infected with COVID-19 for symptoms to show
however, it can take up to 14 days.
To minimise the spread of either COVID-19 or the flu, if you’re experiencing any early symptoms or are feeling
unwell, it is of utmost importance that you please:
• Stay at home
• If COVID-19 is suspected, get tested using a
Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) or PCR
• Inform your leader of any symptoms
Your leader will be able to provide you with the necessary information as to your leave and other entitlements in the event you need to be absent from work.
