We’re excited to share that we will soon be launching our very first Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP).
A RAP is a strategic document with practical plans for action. It sets out how an organisation is committing to contribute to reconciliation with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples internally and in the communities they serve.
There are four types of RAPs for workplaces: Reflect, Innovate, Stretch or Elevate. As this is our first RAP, we will launch a Reflect RAP. This will be the start of our company’s journey putting us on a path to complete the next stage of RAPs.
A Reflect RAP sets out the steps we will take to scope and develop relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander stakeholders. It’s about making a start and developing a vision for reconciliation at Interflow.
Our Reflect RAP focuses on three main areas: encouraging cultural respect, unlocking Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander talent, and developing partnerships.
We look forward to launching the RAP on the 4th of July to coincide with NAIDOC week. This will be a great opportunity to highlight the importance of our plan and the steps we are making moving forward.
