With record rainfall resulting in high wastewater flows to Sydney Water’s Northern Suburbs Ocean Outfall Sewer (NSOOS), a couple of members with our Critical Sewer Solutions (CSS) team were recently provided the opportunity to swap regular duties for the morning and help out Willoughby Bay Precinct members prune and weed WH Brothers Memorial Park in Cremorne.
In the park we have a maintenance hole which is used to provide fresh air ventilation and emergency retrieval capability for the safety of CSS workers rehabilitating the NSOOS 67m below ground.
We are always looking for ways to give back and achieve together with local communities. We are thankful to the Willoughby Bay Precinct members for allowing us to help out and look forward to working alongside them over the next two years while we deliver the NSOOS project.
