While in Whyalla helping our SA team deliver a package of Expanda works, a NSW lining crew responded to an unexpected emergency.
Work was halted when a rising main at a wet well pump station suddenly burst, causing the gravity main to surcharge. The crew stopped their planned activities to lend a hand to SA Water in their time of need.
Using a combination of internal and external patches, the crew was able to stop the leak and stabilise the line.
The crew received glowing praise from SA Water, who expressed their thanks for mobilising quickly and responding to the emergency, saving them many dollars in the process.
This highlights what our crews can achieve together when they come together to solve customer problems. Congratulations to the team for their quick-thinking and problem-solving skills, supporting our customers in their time of need.
