Interflow keeps it all in the family

Interflow Pty Limited, a leading provider in Australia and New Zealand for repair, restoration and renewal services of deteriorated underground pipeline services, is proud to announce a three-year partnership with children’s education charity, The Smith Family.
In its 80th year the market-leading company is now teaming up with The Smith Family and investing in the futures of Australian children in need.
The exciting partnership will support children to succeed in their education, according to The Smith Family’s Business Development Manager, Paul Hooper. “The Smith Family provides disadvantaged Australian children with tools and support they need to thrive at school,” says Paul.
“By supporting and investing in a child’s education, we can prevent them from experiencing a lifetime of poverty.”
“Through the three-year partnership Interflow will sponsor eight tertiary students who are supported through The Smith Family’s Learning for Life program”, says Interflow Managing Director Geoff Weaver.
“Disadvantaged children need extra support at school and to go on to further studies or a job. Through our partnership The Smith Family we will be providing financial assistance to help these students with their tertiary education.”
Geoff Weaver says the whole company has the opportunity to get involved. “Each year we will also run a Work Inspiration workshop on site, to allow students from The Smith Family’s partner schools to explore career opportunities by meeting and talking to our staff. There will be other volunteering opportunities too.”
Finally, Interflow has committed to extra involvement through the iTrack online mentoring Program.
“iTrack will match volunteer mentors from Interflow with students in Years 9 to 11. The Interflow mentors will provide support and direction for the students on their post-school options,” said Paul.
“For an hour per week over two school terms, mentors chat with their student via a monitored, secure online chatroom to provide guidance, advice and encouragement on work, study and career opportunities.”
Interflow’s Geoff Weaver says “We are looking forward to working with The Smith Family on the various programs. “It’s an opportunity for us to have a direct and very positive impact on our community. We’re proud to be involved.”
